Alejandro Interiano

Assistant Director

B.S. Business Administration, Management
California State University, Los Angeles

Bio:

I am a proud first-generation Mexican/American, East Los Angelino, where I’ve lived all my life; except for a brief stay in Puerto Rico as a child. After high school, I studied Business Administration, Management at California State University, Los Angeles and graduated right in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. Through a series of very fortunate events, I found myself working my first job at USC’s Health Science Campus (Norris Medical Library) the same week that I began my college career at CSULA. Now, I have made USC my actual career! I like to say that I fell into working in higher-education but I could not be happier with the team environment I work in and the students and families that visit USC every day!

Why USC?

I feel like USC gave me a home. Not only did they believe in me and my skills and abilities but also saw skills in me that I was yet to discover. Everyone at USC makes you feel right at home.

Admission Advice:

Applying for college is scary, daunting, and nerve-wrecking; trust me, I remember! Take time out of your day to focus on yourself, relax, rest, and plan out your next steps. Remember that you will end up where you need to be, whether that be at USC or any other college in the country or world. What is most important is to pursue higher education in an environment that is best for you! Don’t be afraid, take chances, follow your heart and everything will be okay!
