Bio

I’m a SoCal native, originally from Orange County, and went to college out of state. (Where is Idaho again?) Immediately after graduating from Boise State, I moved to Seattle and started my career in higher education at Seattle University. I couldn’t stay away from home for too long and have since found my way back to the Golden State! I find working in Admission to be very fulfilling and am beyond excited to be here at USC, meet some of y’all, and help guide students throughout the admission process and find their new home away from home. When I’m not working, you can find me reading books, spending time with friends and family, binging a new TV show, or listening to music and going to concerts.

Why USC?

What drew me to this institution were the values: integrity; excellence; well-being; open communication; accountability; and diversity, equity and inclusion. These values are the foundation that this university was built on, and they unite our students, staff and faculty to establish a collaborative culture, collectively. Aside from that, you can’t beat the weather, beauty, and opportunities that are waiting for you here in Los Angeles.

Admission Advice

When you look at the entire application process, the essays are the only place we get to hear YOUR direct voice, so make use of that! Context is key, so if there’s anything you don’t think is made obvious to us in your application—whether it’s why you took a gap year, explaining a grade trend, or telling us about challenges you’ve had to overcome—write about it! Not only do we want to make sure you’re the right fit for us, but also, that we’re the right fit for you. It’s a two-way street!
