Estefany Morataya

Senior Assistant Director

B.A. Sociology
Vanguard University

Bio:

I was born and raised in Los Angeles—only two miles from USC. I am a first-generation college student and graduated from Vanguard University with a B.A. in sociology and a minor in business. As a student at Vanguard, I was part of New Student Orientation for three years and found a passion for higher education and working with students. After graduating, I worked for a nonprofit and then a corporate company before returning to my alma mater to work as an admission counselor, and later I worked at Biola University as a transfer evaluator.

Why USC?

I love the diversity at USC. It also has so many opportunities for you to get involved. There is literally something for everyone here, and you can truly be yourself.

Admission Advice:

Visit the schools you are most interested in. If you can, make it to events that are offered for prospective students and get a feel for life on campus.
