Admission Decision Timeline for Transfer Applicants

Admission decisions or a request for more information, such as spring-term grades, will be posted by May 31. If spring grades are requested, a decision may not be available until mid-July.

Admission letters and certificates will be mailed following the release of admission decisions online.

Bio:

Born and raised in the Midwest, I always knew I would somehow find my way to California, and after spending some time in Washington, D.C. I did just that! Since loading all my plants and my two cats into a van and driving across the entire country (I never knew I would spend so much time in Nebraska), I absolutely fell in love with this state. When I’m not working, I love to travel, and my goal is to visit an indie bookstore in all 50 states!

 

Why USC?

As a first-generation college graduate, I remember the way it felt to set foot on a college campus for the first time and feel equal parts excitement and confusion! USC has several mentorship opportunities for students, which include peer mentors, first-generation mentors, degree mentors—the list goes on! Having a mentor can make a world of difference when navigating the college experience, and the Trojan Family has your back.

 

Admission Advice:

When applying to schools, it may feel like you have to “prove” that you’re the right fit in your applications, but it is important to think carefully about which school is the right fit for you. My best advice to anyone applying to college is to ask yourself what you hope to gain during those four critical years outside of the classroom. What kind of values do you hope your future school embodies? What kind of internships are you interested in? Are there any fun clubs and organizations that interest you? We hope that USC has everything that you’re looking for, but you know yourself better than anybody on the planet, so listen to your gut!
