Bio  

I’m a SoCal native, originally from Orange County, and went to college out of state. Immediately after graduating from Boise State, I moved to Seattle and started my career in higher education at Seattle University working with transfer students. After a few years away from home, I decided it was time to move back to California. Working in higher education is my passion, and I am super excited to help guide students throughout the admission process and find their new home away from home. When I’m not working, you can find me reading books, spending time with friends and family, binging a new TV show, or listening to music and going to concerts. 

Why USC? 

For me, it comes down to the people and the possibilities. USC is a place where students can pursue their academic interests while also being encouraged to explore across disciplines, get involved in meaningful ways, and build connections with people who share their passions. I also love that there’s such a strong sense of community here; students, faculty, alumni, and staff genuinely care about one another and about the impact they can make. That combination of opportunity, community, and purpose is what makes USC such a special place to me. 

Admission Advice  

When you look at the entire application process, the writing portions are the only place where we get to hear YOUR direct voice, so make use of that! We just want to learn more about you, so don’t feel like you need to present yourself in a certain type of way. Being authentic is what matters. Context is also key, so if there’s anything you don’t think is made obvious to us in your application, whether it’s why you took a gap year, explaining a grade trend, or telling us about challenges you’ve had to overcome, write about it. Not only do we want to make sure you’re the right fit for us, but also, that we’re the right fit for you. It’s a two-way street!
