Bio:
Yá’át’ééh! Hello! For me, home is the breathtakingly beautiful capital of the Navajo Nation – Window Rock, Arizona. For college, I decided to try something completely different and moved across the country to attend a small college in Maine. In 2017, I received my B.A. in Mathematics & Education and learned that I’m awful with numbers but I love education. From there, I decided I wanted to keep learning about education so I moved back to Arizona and received my M.Ed in Higher & Postsecondary Education. I have zigzagged across the US & Canada these past few years; went from being a Polar Bear to a Sun Devil to happily settling in SoCal to be a Trojan. Fight On!
Why USC?
The students, the Trojan Family, and the location! USC brings in students from all over the United States and the world, which means you can find the Trojan Family in all the same places. Our Trojan students and family come from widely different backgrounds but they all come together to share the Fight On! pride and the love of our Southern California beauty.
Admission Advice:
Visit the university you are interested in attending. Being on campus can really solidify your gut feeling of, “could this be my home-away-from-home?” As one of those students who couldn’t physically attend many campus visits, I also advise you to take the virtual tours. Try to find all the resources you can to really understand the student experience of the institution.
