Build Your Future
USC’s distinct learning opportunities allow students to thrive in interdisciplinary, learner-centered curricula that uniquely prepare them to help solve the pressing issues of our time and forge a path to success in an increasingly interconnected world. Whether your passion is art or anthropology, computer science or the life sciences, you will have opportunities to explore, to challenge and to distinguish yourself.
Interdisciplinary Study
Our General Education program will introduce you to the broad range of disciplines necessary to navigate the complexities of the 21st century. Spanning 16 different schools, General Education requirements are interdisciplinary in nature, allowing you to explore new areas of interest and develop insights across disparate fields of study. Who knows? One of these fields may even become your second major or a minor.

Research
USC is ranked among the top universities in federally supported research. You will be able to pursue faculty-led or your own original research as soon as your first year, supported by funding from the university.

The Arts
Through its six visual and performing arts schools, USC is devoted to nurturing the next generations of artists, architects, musicians, dancers, dramatists and filmmakers. Arts students at USC will find opportunities unmatched anywhere else. Students can also take advantage of numerous free film screenings, exhibitions and gallery showings, and hundreds of theatre performances — all without leaving campus.
The Visions and Voices arts and humanities series brings the world’s best writers, musicians, performers, thinkers and speakers to the community each year — all free to students.
