Bio  

As a Los Angeles native, I am proud to call L.A. my home. It is a place people dream to be in, and I am fortunate to experience this city every day. Like many first-generation students, I wanted to go away for college, so I decided to pursue my bachelor’s degree at UCI, where I double-majored in Education and Sociology. My time at UCI allowed me to become an independent young adult by being an active student employee in the areas of peer mentorship for international students and customer service at the events center. I became independent by earning my own income and being on my own in a neighboring county, all while making normal progress toward my degree. Now as an admission counselor, I look forward to welcoming students to USC in hopes that they make the best out of their undergraduate career.

USC offers various opportunities for community building such as clubs and organizations, sports, as well as cultural and resource centers for affinity groups. You are bound to find your community here at USC while being near or far away from home.

Admission Advice  

As your offers of admission roll in, take into consideration the extracurricular aspects just as much as the academic qualifications you are looking for in a university. Look at areas such as student life, campus pride, and the off-campus resources available. Ultimately, choose a university that meets your wants and/or needs and that will allow you to excel as a growing student and individual.

Hobbies: Trying new restaurants, going to concerts, building Lego sets.
